Description
The first 8 Series marked a huge leap for BMW. Its predecessor, the 6 Series, only delighted with six cylinders, which were doubled in this model. Literally, as BMW developed this V12 block by stacking two inline sixes. Its shape was designed with the help of computers and wind tunnel tests, achieving low aerodynamic drag and a still futuristic appearance to this day. Its interior was radically different from what people had seen before; it feels as if a fighter jet cockpit was tailored in leather. The driving experience, thanks to the V12 paired with automatic transmission, is fittingly brisk and agile. This specimen comes from Italy, so rust hasn’t attacked it.
