Mercedes-Benz Typ 200 W21 1935 Fully restored


The Mercedes-Benz 200 was an executive passanger car from the mid ’30s also referred using the factory works number W21. The first introduction was in 1933 and it replaced the W02 also know as the “Stuttgart”. The biggest improvments was the enduring and powerfull engine with that, it can reached 100km/h limit wich was ahead of it’s time. The other development was the more desireable look and the luxourious interior. It was available in different body styles, mainly with 4 or 2 doors sedans and the best was the soft top cabriolet. This example comes from 1935 with 2 door and the openable roof. It was kept in an overall good condition through the times, it was hiden in East-Germany and all the papers are available from the factory till the current owner. This beauty got a complete restoration a few years ago, a full documentation was made of the project. Everything is working well, perfectly capable for long journeys. This 2 liter inline 6 engine was renovated till the last bolt. The exterior got a briliant two-tone paint job. The outside’s red-beige paint are in perfect harmony with the interior, which got fine leather in light brown color, paired with dark wood inserts. From view in modern era this vehicle has a lot of quirky feature, for example the doors are open backwards for the biger legroom, on both side has a spare wheels, the rear-view mirrors are on top of the spare wheels, in the boot department has a special surprise, 2 luggage was made for the journeys and a red cloth cover was made to keep it clean.
