At the end of 1997, AMG developed a new flagship for the C-Class, the C 43 AMG, powered by a 4.3-liter V8 that has now reached 303 hp. Unlike the C36, which is truly a “ready-to-sell” tuned C280 that’s fine-tuned at the AMG factory. The C43 was the first real AMG to be fully assembled at the AMG plant in Affalterbach after Daimler-Benz acquired AMG in 1998. The C43 AMG (0-100 km / h) ran in 6.0 seconds and a combined 6.3 seconds. The C43 was the first C-Class to be equipped with a Mercedes-Benz based engine. The car was manufactured for just over two years, from the end of 1997 to the spring of 2000, a total of 4,200 units, of which 20% were station wagons and 80% limousines. The specimen offered by Veterán Autó Kft. Is a well-equipped specimen that has been carefully maintained. Very nice two-tone leather interior. Extras include driver and passenger airbags, side airbags, ABS, automatic air conditioning, 4 power windows, electric mirrors, electric driver and passenger seats. Similar copies are currently available on the European market for € 17,500!
